Early Years Free Entitlement

Working in partnership with Surrey County Council, Hoe Bridge School provides funded early education for two, three and four-year-olds. Eligibility starts from the term after your child’s 2nd birthday and ends from the start of the term after your child’s 5th birthday. 

Surrey County Council require an updated declaration form to be completed prior to the start of each term for all of the categories of funding set out below. Our bursary office will contact our families with details on how to complete the declaration form each term.

Working Parent Entitlement for Two-Year-Olds

From 1 April 2024, working parents will be eligible for up to 15 hours per week of funded childcare, from the term after their child turns two years old. To be eligible, both parents must be working, and they must meet certain income criteria.

If you are eligible for the Working Parent Entitlement, you will need to apply online for an Eligibility Code from HMRC HERE 

When completing the termly declaration form, you will need to provide your eligibility code as well as your National Insurance number to enable the School to confirm eligibility and claim the funding. 

Universal 15 Hours EYFE for Three and Four-Year-Olds

All children are entitled to the Universal 15 hours of funded early education, from the term after their 3rd birthday.  Your termly bill will be automatically adjusted to take account of the funded hours, however if you have previously used another childcare provider, your bill may need to be adjusted to reflect any reduction in EYFE funding received by the school from Surrey County Council. 

Extended 30 Hours EYFE for Three and Four-Year-Olds

Where both parents are working and you meet certain income criteria, you will be eligible for Extended 30 hours of funded early education.

Although funded early education is available from Surrey County Council for 38 weeks per year, on a term time basis, Hoe Bridge School only receives funding for our term times which usually totals around 34 weeks per year. However, it is possible for you to seek the remaining weeks from another registered school, nursery or childminder.
